An investment group built on expertise.

Cavola is the private investment group of brothers Ruben and Ramon van Aarle — two originally tax advisors and entrepreneurs who built Taxperience for twenty years, sold BCS HR Software to Main Capital, and founded Keeyns.

Our story

Ruben and Ramon's professional careers began at Arthur Andersen in the late nineties. Ruben started in 1998, Ramon in 2001 – both as tax advisors in the international tax practice. After the merger of Andersen with Deloitte in 2002, they continued their work at Deloitte until they founded Taxperience together with Sam Abbing in 2005.

In twenty years, Taxperience has grown into one of the most renowned independent tax firms in the Netherlands, with over 50 professionals and offices in ‘s-Hertogenbosch and Amsterdam. In 2014, Taxperience joined the international Andersen network. Recognized as ‘Dutch Corporate Tax Law Firm of the Year’.

In addition to Taxperience, they sold BCS HR Software to Main Capital Partners (2022), founded Keeyns in 2017 – which raised €10 million in 2024 – and became a founding partner of ESquare Capital Partners in 2022.

On October 31, 2025, Taxperience was sold to Crowe Foederer. For Ruben and Ramon, this is not a farewell to taxation. It is its culmination. The knowledge, networks, and reputation built over twenty years form the foundation of everything Cavola does and will do in the future.
